Multi Ring-Areas Oases are a sustainable contribution to the regeneration of the ecological system and to climate protection. Multi Ring-Areas Oases also fulfill
general societal demands for the utilization of land. Distributed worldwide (see sketch above), these Multi Ring-Areas Oases can contribute to the regeneration
of the ecological system and the optimal adjustment of the global climate.
As shown in the planning example for Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin (see sketch above), Multi Ring-Areas Oases, which should consist of at least six sub-areas, can be realized even in densely built-up urban areas. In order to transform the environmentally harmful airport operations (13) into a sustainable, environmentally friendly Multi Ring-Areas Oases, a lake (1) is planned in the core area. This lake is enclosed by a ring-shaped natural area (2).
This biotope in the core area of the Multi Ring-Areas Oases is protectively enclosed by a ring area (3) with cultivation options for regionally sourced fruit and vegetables, as well as other plants in high-bay plantations. This, in turn, is protectively enclosed by a ring area (4), where regionally sourced edible fish, mussels, etc. are bred in high-bay aquariums in symbiosis with the high-bay plantations on the ring area (3).
A further ring area (5) contains a navigable lake, which is connected to the city's waterway network (12), (14) via canals (10) and (11) laid over existing green spaces, disused streets, and railway tracks.
All of these areas are enclosed by another ring area (6), which is a park with, for example, hiking trails (9), children's playgrounds (fountain (7), climbing tower (8)), and underground event spaces (7) and (8).
Especially when these Multi Ring-Areas Oases are realized far outside urban areas or in desert regions, additional ring-shaped areas can be planned, which could accommodate, for example,
a) solar fields, wind turbines, geothermal power plants, and energy storage facilities for energy supply,
b) additional leisure parks with overnight accommodations,
c) completely new urban areas,
d) research and industrial parks, craft businesses,
e) social institutions, universities, schools, or
f) farmland and animal husbandry.
